Shut-In Trail Hike led by Les and Catherine Love

Are you ready to hike on the MST in the Blue Ridge Mountains? Join us as we explore the trail and enjoy breathtaking views. 

Meet at 9:00 AM at Asheville Outlets parking lot behind Waffle House (798 Brevard Rd, Asheville) to carpool to trailhead. We will hike from Elk Pasture Gap to Beaverdam Gap for a total of 4.3 miles. This hike is rated moderate with elevation from 4250 down to 3600 with some ascents along the way.

Points of interest include the Shut-In trail, Old Carriage trail, Vanderbilt's Buck Springs Lodge with beautiful views of Mills River Valley. Please wear hiking boots/shoes, bring snack and water. No pets allowed. Capacity is 20. Hike leaders are Les and Catherine Love.
