Suggs Mills Pond Game Land Hike

Come join Ben Jones, Mary Stewart and Grace Iovine for a guided hike on Segment 13 through Suggs Mill Pond Game Land.

Meet: 5273 Live Oak Methodist Church Road, White Oak NC. We will shuttle back to Walter West Road to begin the hike. We will stop at Horseshoe Lake for lunch

Length: 4.6 miles

What to bring:  Bring your own lunch, water, snacks. A birthday treat will be provided. You may want hiking poles, bug spray, or whatever else you normally hike with, and it is a game land, so you may want something blaze orange on, hat, vest.

There was some recent flooding at Suggs Mill Pond most likely due to Hurricane Debby and we are fully expecting that to be cleared up by the time of our hike, but can't promise it, so you might want to bring a dry pair of shoes and socks to change into and bug spray. Also, they are doing some logging, so there might be a little bit of bushwhacking. This also means less shade, so if it's hot you might want an umbrella!
